CLASS CATEGORIES

Our recreational classes are divided into three categories:

• Beginners or school age classes in the following four age groups:
  • 5 - 6 year olds (1 Hour per week)
  • 6 - 7 1/2 years (1 1/2 Hours per week)
  • 7 - 9 years (1 1/2 hours per week)
  • 9 and up (1 1/2 hours per week)
• Intermediate or special school age classes in the following 2 age groups:
  • 4 - 7 years (90 minutes)
  • 8 and up (90 minutes)
• Advanced or Jets Plus classes into the following age groups:
  • 6 - 9 years (120 minutes)
  • 10 and up (120 minutes)

Age groups are used to introduce gymnastic skills because of the different physical, mental, emotional and social levels of the children. We have found the breakdowns above to work best for our program.

SAFETY

Like any other sport gymnastics presents your child with challenges and with it some danger. Care is exercised as well as use of all modern safety equipment. Monthly equipment inspections are performed by the management. Sound educational practices and progressions are used to insure that all the risks are minimized. This can not guarantee that your child will not get injured. Gymnastics, which is considered a risk sport, has an exceptional safety record. It is rated safer than football, baseball and soccer. Our staff at Jets is extremely proud of our safety record.
